Set on acreage in the outer Toowoomba area, this country residence received an expansive renovation well suited to family living.

The project encompassed a practical addition to the existing floor area incorporating a fourth bedroom along with a 53.8m² verandah extension.

With an emphasis on maximising the current floor space, built-in storage was integrated into each existing room of the home.  In addition, the removal of an internal wall and expanded door openings created an open plan layout throughout the main living area.

A neutral material selection combined light coloured floating timber flooring, white joinery and walls painted in Dulux Antique White USA to enhance the high ceilings of the home.  These features added to the existing character of the dwelling, as well as complement the owner’s collection of vintage timber furniture.

The light-filled residence opens out to a welcoming wrap around verandah, which takes advantage of the expansive rural views and adds valuable outdoor living space to this inviting rural home.
